Brooks Equipment – Mobile E-Commerce for Field-Based Resellers

Company: Pratt-Miller
Role: Business Analyst and Principal Product Designer (sole designer)
Timeline: 2022
Tools: Figma

Project Overview

Brooks Equipment needed a mobile solution to empower resellers working on-site to look up products, check pricing, and place orders in real time. I led UX and business analysis for a mobile e-commerce MVP built on Xamarin.

The Challenge

Problem: Brooks’ existing desktop-only experience was unusable in the field.

Need: A fast, mobile-first app to search, compare, and order fire-safety products while on-site.

Environment: Tight timelines, fixed tech stack (Xamarin), and high-consequence field usage.
